INTRODUCTION</b>

Mattock is a tool much similar to Axe which is used widely in agricultural areas and rural sectors. The major difference between an Axe and and mattock is that mattock's head is concluded at its wider blade, whereas Axe head is terminated at narrow spike. With the added advantage of possessing broader blades, mattock is highly used by agriculturist and farmers to dig the hard ground. Mattock is highly broad bladed tool which is effectively used as a durable tool. Two types of Mattocks are available in the market viz Pick Mattock and Cutter Mattock..

TYPES OF MATTOCKS

PICK MATTOCK:-

Pick Mattocks are highly pointed at one end, carrying a fine and pointed edge which makes it feasible tool to dig in packed soil or clay. The usual head weight of a pick mattock is 5 pounds. Average length of a pick mattock is 36''. Pick mattock is made up of high quality steel which gives it a robust structure. Pick mattocks are also used for smashing or breaking small stones. CUTTER MATTOCK:-

Cutter Mattocks are those mattock which have an Axe-like splitting edges. Pick mattocks are becoming the first choice of farmers and agriculturists for digging and Loosening purposes. Furthermore, a cutter mattock is also used for chopping roots and muddy areas. Cutter mattocks are available in all handle sizes, comfort grip and possess a perfect length for digging and gardening purposes. Furthermore, Cutter mattocks are highly adaptable to be used around the shrubs for digging purposes.
